Can I start a company by myself ?

In France, the general rule is that in order for a company to be incorporated, it is necessary for it to have at least two members.

However, there are two exceptions to this rule:

- choosing a EURL company

- choosing a SASU company

Both EURLs and SASUs are LLCs, that have a duration of 99 years, like all companies.

As the sole stakeholder, you will be able to use your home address as your company's headquarter.

There is no minimum share capital required.

You will have the option to subject your EURL to the "impôt sur le revenu" tax or "impôt sur les sociétés" tax.

Similarly, you will have the option to subject your SASU to the "impôt sur le revenu" tax for a 5 year period before the "impôt sur les sociétés" tax applies.
