Can I get an abortion in France ?

In France, the general rule is that you can have an abortion until you reach the 14 weeks mark of your pregnancy.

You have the right to know which abortion methods are available and choose one of your choosing.

You must be informed by your doctor of the medical risks surrounding the planned abortion.

Medical professionals are also obligated to give you a list of the hospitals that can perform an abortion.

A medical doctor will only perform the abortion once he/she receives your written consent.

No medical doctor is obligated to perform an abortion in France.

However, in the case that a medical doctor doesn't want to perform an abortion for one reason or another, he/she must give a list of medical doctors that are willing to perform the abortion.
